Will To Live Series: When The Pain Becomes Too Heavy To Carry Alone (You Are Never Alone)
THE WILL TO LIVE: When The Pain Becomes Too Heavy To Carry Alone
What happens when someone has tried everything-and still cannot find relief from the pain?
In this deeply personal foundational episode, Nancy Penttila opens a new chapter of her mission: helping people rediscover their will to live, reconnect with hope, and find the person still waiting beneath the pain.
Nancy is often the person people reach for when they feel they have exhausted every other possibility. Her work has supported high performers, influencers, professionals, parents, people experiencing addiction, people without homes, and those whose lives appear beautiful from the outside while they suffer silently within.
Different lives. Different circumstances. The same heartbreaking question:
“Is there still hope for me?”
In this episode, Nancy explores addiction as more than substance use. Addiction may also appear as an overpowering relationship with sugar, food, social media, shopping, achievement, work, relationships, external validation, or the need to be constantly needed.
Behind many addictive patterns is not a person trying to destroy their life, but a person attempting to survive overwhelming emotions, unmet needs, trauma, loneliness, shame, or a nervous system that has forgotten what safety feels like.
This episode is an invitation to look beneath the behaviour and ask:
“What is the pain trying to soothe?”
Nancy shares why understanding a pattern is not always enough to change it, how survival responses become deeply rehearsed within the body and subconscious mind, and why shame rarely creates lasting transformation.
Most importantly, she reminds listeners that addiction is not their identity, their worst moment is not their entire story, and their pain does not deserve the final word.
In this episode, you’ll explore:
You may believe that your will to live has disappeared. Perhaps it has only been buried beneath exhaustion, trauma, rejection, addiction, loneliness, and years of carrying too much alone.
You are still here.
Your story is still being written.
And your life is worth fighting for.
