Invite only parties with unique experiences | Partytime.TO | Ep.67
This week, we're bringing you a full breakdown of what it actually takes to throw a party in Toronto.
Have you ever been to an event so dialed in? From the venue, to the vibe, to the production, and wondered who's behind all of it? In this episode, we sit down with Tak, the founder of Partytime.to (http://partytime.to)., and over the past four years, they've built one of Toronto's most unique event brands, hosting unforgettable nights at spots like Lavalle Rooftop, Dragon City Mall, and Holy Trinity Church. What makes them different? With an invite-only concept. They grew solely through word of mouth, and never chased the typical promoter playbook. Oh! And they're also building their own ticketing platform to replace Eventbrite. Tune in to get the juice of the business!
In this episode, we dive into:
🎉 How Partytime.to started and what gap they saw in Toronto's party scene🔐 Why they kept it invite-only and why the Instagram is still private🏟️ Turning an idea into a full event including logistics, capacity, production, and cost🐉 Dragon City Mall, the Chinese New Year event, the lion dance, the Hong Kong taxi, and that Simu Liu moment⛪ Holy Trinity Church and navigating the viral video controversy🎟️ HXST Event is their new ticketing system and why they're building beyond Eventbrite📍 What's coming next and the venues on their radar
We hope you enjoy the conversation! Drop your thoughts in the comments. Have you ever been to a Partytime.to event?
