Through this podcast, we invite you to connect with God, others, and yourself through the enjoyment of nature.
backcountry.church is an ecclesia, a church, based on the original meaning, intention and practice of the early church. We are neither an internet based church nor a brick-n-mortar church.... but backcountry.church can be lived out at either. It can also be practiced on a trail, in a home, a coffee shop or just about anywhere. backcountry.church is where you can connect with God through daily and weekly posted content, you can engage with us and others in our communities, and where everyone is welcome. Whether you are an atheist or a Christ-follower, or just trying to figure this God thing out, you are welcome. We believe in creating platforms where people can have encounters with Christ, while doing what they love, enjoying nature in the backcountry or wherever they may be!

205 - Echos in the Canyon (The Goodness Trail: Episode 4 of 6)
When you stand in a canyon and call out, your voice doesn’t vanish into silence — it comes back multiplied. It echoes off the walls, sometimes stronger than when it first left your lips. Encouragement works the same way. A word spoken in love, a moment of kindness, an act of compassion never stops at the surface. It carries. It bounces. It echoes.
But here’s the key: the echo doesn’t begin with us. The first voice is God’s. He speaks into our hearts when we are weary. He whispers peace when we’re anxious, strength when we’re weak, and courage when we feel like giving up. 💛 Because God has encouraged us, we can echo His goodness into the lives of others.
That’s why encouragement carries such weight. It’s not just optimism or positivity — it’s God’s goodness flowing through us. When you encourage someone, you’re echoing His voice, and that echo 🔊 travels farther than you could ever imagine.
✨ Don’t miss this week’s message here: Echoes in the Canyon. Discover how God’s encouragement in your life can ripple into the lives of others and leave lasting impact.
