It was so good to catch up with Nathan and chat about his necessary new book, Embodying God’s Multiethnic Kingdom.
I pray that this conversation helps you work through all that divides us as people; the fear to deal with our history and the destruction that has been wrought in the name of God. While deconstruction was a necessary step toward healing, I pray this helps you reconstruct and reimagine what community and faith can be.

In this sermon I engage with Paul’s letter to the Philippians and am particularly fascinated by his willingness to put his own accomplishments in the backseat and assert that God alone is his qualification. Paul’s example informs my prayer for the church that we see each other through the lens of Christ and allow that unity in Christ to mean more than all of the categories we use to oppress and look past each other.
