Unser heutiger Gast Christopher hat es in seiner Hochzeitsreise nach Japan verschlagen. Auf der Insel waren seine Frau und er auch viel mit dem Zug von Tōkyō, nach Kyōto sowie weiter nach Ōsaka und Hiroshima unterwegs. Gemeinsam mit Cornelis, der bereits vor paar Jahren in Japan war, berichten beide über ihre Erlebnisse von der japanischen Dienstleistungskultur, zu Stempeln und der vor allem Deutschland wahrgenommenen Pünktlichkeit.

Cornelis und Dennis blicken zusammen auf ihre persönlichen Highlights und die Ereignisse des Bahn-Jahres 2023 zurück. In 2023 hat uns viel bewegt wie zum Beispiel das Deutschlandticket für 49€ oder weniger bewegt wie die Streiks von EVG und GDL. Auch war das Jahr 2023 geprägt von einer immer schlechter werdenden Pünktlichkeitsquote im Fernverkehr der Deutschen Bahn. Nichtsdestotrotz ziehen wir ein positives Fazit über dieses Jahr.

In dieser Episode der Bahnhelden nehmen wir uns direkt vier Themen vor: Jede Minifolge handelt von einem anderen Zug, mit dem wir in letzter Zeit unterwegs waren und euch empfohlen wollen. Los geht's den Rhein entlang, die Aussicht im Panoramawagen der SBB genießend. Dann weiter schlafend im Caledonian Sleeper von London nach Schottland. Ganz schnell, italienisch-schön und preiswert von Madrid nach Barcelona im spanischen Iryo. Und am Ende ganz entspannt durchs Centovalli und Valle Vigezzo von der Schweiz nach Italien in der Centovallibahn.
