What Are You Living For?
What does life equal for you? If your life is built on money, power, comfort, or approval, then any trial that threatens those things destroys your source of joy. But if your joy is built on something suffering cannot touch, your joy can survive anything.
In this sermon on Philippians 1:12–26, we walk through Paul's prison letter to discover how a life centered on Christ transforms our perspective on pain, purpose, and death itself.
Gospel Perspective: How God uses our hardest seasons and trials to advance His kingdom.
Gospel Priority: Why we can rejoice whenever Christ is proclaimed, free from comparison or selfish ambition.
Gospel Purpose: Finding the ultimate freedom where "to live is Christ, and to die is gain".

How Do You Respond When God's Word Confronts You?
Have you ever noticed how two people can hear the exact same message, yet respond in completely different ways? In Acts 17:1–15, Paul brings the same gospel to Thessalonica and Berea, but receives drastically different reactions—some believe, others fiercely oppose, and some eagerly examine the Scriptures. The difference isn't the clarity of God's Word, but the condition of the heart receiving it.
Scriptures Explained: Seeing how the Old Testament points directly to the necessity of Christ's suffering and resurrection.
Scriptures Opposed: Why the gospel provokes hostility and how faithful living inevitably confronts worldly priorities.
Scriptures Examined: Following the noble-minded Bereans in hungering for truth and submitting our lives to God's Word.

Finding God's Will
Is being in God's will a guarantee of a comfortable, pain-free life? Too often, we assume that suffering means we've made a wrong turn. But true alignment with God isn't about avoiding hardship—it's about faithful obedience, trusting His providence, and using our freedom to advance the gospel no matter the circumstances.
In this sermon on Acts 16:6–40, we follow Paul’s journey through redirected plans, unexpected detours, and severe opposition in Philippi.
God Directs His People: How closed doors and redirected plans are often God's providence guiding us toward His purpose.
God's Will Does Not Prevent Suffering: Why stepping into faithful obedience can lead directly into trials rather than easy paths.
God Uses Suffering for the Gospel: How midnight praise in a prison cell opened doors for salvation and kingdom growth.
