Hikayat Banjir di Jakarta
<p>Pada episode pertama ini, kami membahas mengenai fenomena banjir di Jakarta. Banjir di Jakarta merupakan fenomena tahunan yang sering menarik perhatian banyak orang. Pada banjir awal tahun 2020 misalnya, banjir terjadi di berbagai wilayah di Jakarta dan juga kota-kota satelit, Bogor, Tangerang, Depok, dan Bekasi. Penyebabnya ialah curah hujan yang tinggi serta berkurangnya daerah resapan air seiring dengan perkembangan kota. Sesungguhnya banjir tidak hanya terjadi baru-baru ini. Berabad-abad silam banjir sebenarnya fenomena banjir juga sering terjadi. Pada masa kolonial Hindia Belanda, Batavia sering kebanjiran. Hal ini membuat pemerintah kolonial mengeluarkan banyak anggaran untuk mengatasi banjir. Pada masa itu mulai dibangun kanal, bendungan, dan pengerukan sungai guna mengatasi banjir. Setelah Indonesia merdeka, Jakarta rupanya belum "merdeka" dari banjir, bahkan banjir terus meluas seiring dengan pembangunan kota.
