We all know the Sunday school classics: Daniel in the lions' den, and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. But if we only view these as survival stories, we’re missing the grand finale.
In this episode, we’re diving into the courts of ancient Babylon to look at the powerful connection between these four lifelong friends. Decades before Daniel faced the lions under King Darius, God put His absolute sovereignty on display by walking through the fire with his three best friends under King Nebuchadnezzar. What did these men have in common? An unshakeable, identical theology. They had complete faith that whatever God willed was the best possible outcome. They famously declared that God could save them—but even if He didn't, they still wouldn't bow. And because of that radical, "even-if" faith, God didn't just save their lives—He flipped entire empires upside down. After witnessing their rescue, the pagan kings issued royal decrees ordering everyone in their kingdoms to tremble before and worship the God of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
