Potential and Expectations
When Potential Becomes Expectation
One of the ways we hurt ourselves is by expecting people to be who we believe they have the potential to become—instead of accepting them for who they are right now.
Sometimes, we’re not loving the person in front of us. We’re loving the version of them we created in our minds.
And when reality doesn’t match the potential we saw, disappointment, frustration, and resentment can take over.
Join me for this week’s episode as I unpack what I learned about expectations, potential, and the ways we can unintentionally hurt ourselves by expecting people to be something they may never choose to become.
Let’s talk about it.

Speak up!
In this episode, I open up about how being taught to “stay quiet” as a little girl shaped my adult voice — and how God revealed that my throat chakra was blocked. I share the emotional and spiritual signs of a blocked throat chakra and the practical steps I’m using to clear it, from breathwork to boundaries to speaking my truth out loud. If you’ve ever swallowed your feelings or struggled to express yourself, this episode will help you reclaim your voice and remember that silence was never your destiny.

Running from Me
Running From Me is a raw, honest look at the quiet ways we abandon ourselves. In this episode, I open up about the habits I fall into when I know better — late nights, skipped meals, comfort eating, pushing through exhaustion — all the little choices that add up to feeling disconnected from the version of myself I’m trying to grow into.

Unveiled
Unveiled is a raw, honest journey into what happens when the veil comes off and the truth comes forward. Inspired by 2 Corinthians 3:18, this message explores the courage it takes to confront the parts of ourselves we’ve hidden—our wounds, our fears, our old narratives, and the younger version of us still waiting to be handled with care.
In this episode, I share what it looks like to face yourself in the mirror without running, without shrinking, and without hostility. Just truth. Just bravery. Just love.

Filtered and flawed
In this episode I reveal a truth in real time. The toughest part about healing is when God puts you in the spotlight. This time I chose to stand in truth and face myself in the mirror. This time I speak from my heart.
Proverbs 4:23
23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
What does your heart reveal?

Shift happens
What happens after the door closes on the life you thought you’d have?
In this episode of Bare Face Confessions, Ella Be explores the quiet, often overlooked journey of rebuilding after a relationship ends. She opens up about questioning her worth, trying to prove her value through staying, and the powerful realization that peace, healing, and self-worth are not earned through suffering.
If you’ve ever felt lost after a major life transition, struggled to choose yourself without guilt, or wondered who you are outside of the roles you’ve carried, this conversation is for you.
This isn’t just an episode about divorce—it’s about identity, restoration, and finding the courage to stop surviving and start becoming.
Because your worth was never tied to what you could hold together.

TIL life do us apart
I thought I was breaking a generational curse by staying. What I didn’t realize was that staying in something that was breaking us was creating a different curse altogether.
In this raw and honest episode, I share my journey through divorce, the grief of letting go, the impact on my children, and the lessons I learned about love, healing, and choosing truth over appearances.
Because divorce is not the end of the world—but losing yourself just to save something you were meant to release can be.

The apology you’ll never get
In this episode of Bare Face Confessions, Ella Be opens the door to a deeper kind of healing — the kind that doesn’t wait for someone else’s accountability. The kind that doesn’t depend on their words, their remorse, or their version of the story. The kind that comes from God, truth, and radical self-honesty.
