We've been socialized to see ourselves through lenses that don't always serve our best interests. BARE With Me is a podcast that explores topics of insecurities, culture, body positivity, nudism and how finding freedom in the skin we're in can change how we see ourselves. As a nudist, I have been fortunate to be surrounded by people who understand the impact nudism can have on one's life. This podcast is my way of creating space to have conversations with an audience who would not normally find themselves in nudist circles.
In this episode of The BARE With Me Podcast, we explore the intimate connection between nudism, self-care, and skincare. Jay welcomes Dave, the founder of Rowan Skincare—a natural, cruelty-free brand rooted in body positivity and inclusivity. Together, they dive into the challenges of launching a skincare line designed with both nudists and non-nudists in mind, emphasizing transparency, mindfulness, and the power of community.
From breaking down beauty industry myths to sharing real stories that inspired Rowan’s mission, this conversation goes beyond skin-deep. Dave opens up about the role of customer feedback, the importance of DEI in wellness spaces, and how skincare can become a radical act of self-acceptance. The episode wraps with a fun round of rapid-fire questions and a heartfelt reflection on creating products—and communities—that care.
Whether you're clothes-free or just curious, this episode reminds us all that skin deserves to be seen, celebrated, and cared for.
