【バレー】女子日本代表、イタリアにストレートで敗れ、2敗目を喫する VNL
バレーボールネーションズリーグ（VNL）2026 予選ラウンド第2週フィリピン大会は21日、第4戦（通算8戦目）を行い、6勝1敗の女子日本代表は世界ランク1位のイタリアと対戦。ストレートで敗れた。日本のスターティングメンバーは、和田由紀子、島村春世、石川真佑（主将）、佐藤淑乃、栄絵里香、山田二千華、リベロ・福留慧美。前日のドミニカ共和国戦で出場機会のなかった石川真佑主将は2試合ぶりの試合となった。第1セット、立ち上がりは日本のミドルが機能し、競った展開となるが、7-7からイタリアが5連続得点し、12-7と点差を広げる。セット後半もイタリアは硬軟織り交ぜた攻撃で先行する。終盤、日本は石川にボールを集めるもイタリアの勢いを止められず、最後は佐藤のスパイクがアウトになり、21-25でセットを落とした。第2セット、アントロポーバ、オモルイらの活躍でイタリアが序盤からリード。日本は石川、島村などの攻撃で応戦するもイタリアは13-19とリードを広げる。イタリアはヌワカロールのクイックで先に20点に乗せるとカンビのサービスエースで14-21と一方的な展開となる。しかし、ここから日本は佐藤の攻撃、山田のブロックなどで追い上げ、23-23と同点に追いつく。デュースに持ちこみたい日本だったが、最後はアントロポーバのサービスエースで23-25で惜しくもこのセットも落とす。第3セット、島村に代えて山口真季を投入し、石川と佐藤のポジションを入れ替えてスタート。立ち上がりからイタリアが先行し、ファールのブロックなどで連続得点し、2-8。

【バレー】女子日本代表、VNLイタリア戦に向けて出場選手を変更。栄絵里香が出場選手、中川つかさがリザーブに
公益財団法人日本バレーボール協会は20日、バレーボールネーションズリーグ（VNL）2026 第2週フィリピン大会の女子日本代表出場選手に変更があったことを発表した。リザーブ登録だった栄絵里香（セッター）が出場選手となり、中川つかさ（セッター）がリザーブとなった。 栄はイタリア戦から出場可能となる。イタリア戦は日本時間の21日21時から行われる。※リザーブ選手は出場チームが当該大会の責任者に選手交代を申し入れ、認められた場合、申請が認められた日の翌日の試合から交代して試合に出場できるようになる。また、出場選手から外れた選手も同様の手続きを経て再び大会に出場することができる。

【バレー】女子日本代表、ドミニカ共和国に1-3で敗れ、今大会初黒星 VNL
バレーボールネーションズリーグ（VNL）2026 予選ラウンド第2週フィリピン大会は20日、第3戦（通算7戦目）を行い、女子日本代表はドミニカ共和国と対戦。セットカウント1-3で敗れた。日本のスターティングメンバーは、和田由紀子、島村春世、佐藤淑乃、関菜々巳、山田二千華、北窓絢音、リベロ・西崎愛菜。 西崎は今大会初出場。北窓は初スタメン。石川真佑主将は今大会初めてスタメンを外れた。第1セット、セッターの関がトスをうまく散らし、北窓、和田、山田、佐藤らがそれに応えるオフェンスを見せ、日本リードの展開。一方のドミニカ共和国はミドルが機能し、15-14と1点差に。しかし、セット後半、日本は北窓のサーブブレイクで和田、佐藤らがスパイクを決め22-15とリードを広げる。終盤、ドミニカ共和国は北窓と春高決勝を戦ったタピア（古川学園高出身）を投入するも、最後は和田が決めて、日本が25-18でセットを先取した。第2セット、ドミニカ共和国はタピアをスタートから起用。日本は同じメンバーでスタート。ペーニャらの活躍でドミニカ共和国がリードする。タピアが決めて、9-15の場面で日本がタイムアウト。セット後半もドミニカ共和国の勢いは止まらず、11-20と相手が先に20点に乗せる。ここから日本は途中出場の鴫原ひなたが前衛で起用され、15-21と代表初得点。その後も2得点する。島村の活躍で20-23と追い上げるが、最後はドミニカ共和国のブロックとサービスエースで20-25でセットを落とした。第3セット、山田に代えて山口真季を入れてスタート。
