In Part 1, they talked about the murder and the investigation that led to Williams’ arrest in 1999. Then they looked at his trial, direct appeal and state post-conviction claims.</p>

<p>In Episode 6, State of Missouri v. Marcellus Williams, Part 2, Lisa and Kyle look at Williams’ federal post-conviction claims and the subsequent state and federal claims, which led to a stay of his execution in August, 2017. The then looked at with the executive order issued by Governor Michael L. Parsons in 2023 that rescinded the 2017 executive order of his predecessor. </p>
