Welcome to Bayou Bandages & Banter, the podcast where we take a scalpel to the serious and stitch it back up with a healthy dose of humor. Join us as we wade through the murky waters of medicine, tackling everything from heat injuries in the Louisiana swamps to the quirks of dementia with the sass only the Bayou can offer. Whether you’re a fellow medic, a curious listener, or just here for the gory details and sharp wit, we’ve got the cure for your curiosity—and your boredom. So grab a drink (or an IV bag), sit back, and let’s get into some real talk, Cajun style.
Hosts Tom and James delve into the history of EMS, exploring the evolution of medical practices from Dr. Joseph Lister's pioneering work in antiseptics to modern-day emergency response systems.
