Episode 65: Wake Up, Take Responsibility, and Let Your Blaze Burn

It’s easy to spend years feeling stuck, blaming our circumstances, or waiting for something outside of us to change. But at some point, we have to ask ourselves: Am I living consciously, or am I simply repeating the same patterns? In this episode, I’m wrapping up Season 1 of Be a Blaze with a message that has been at the heart of so many of our conversations: wake up, take responsibility, and let your blaze burn. We can become so disconnected from ourselves that we look for comfort in food, social media, relationships, or other external things. Sometimes we blame other people for where we are, and sometimes we turn that blame inward and beat ourselves up. Neither one helps us move toward healing. Living consciously means becoming aware of our patterns, getting curious instead of judgmental, and taking responsibility for the choices we can make today. It’s not about controlling everything or blaming yourself for what happened in the past. It’s about choosing to live from a place of wholeness, kindness, and connection. In This Episode, You’ll Explore: What it means to live consciously instead of unconsciously How blaming others and blaming yourself can both keep you stuck Why awareness, curiosity, and responsibility are essential to personal growth How to recognize patterns of negative thinking and begin shifting them Why healthy boundaries help you protect your energy and emotional well-being How the Power of Pause can help you make more intentional choices Why your blaze is uniquely yours—and doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s As we close Season 1, I want to remind you that there is a fire inside you worth discovering. You don’t have to become someone else or follow somebody else’s path. Start living consciously, take responsibility for your choices, love yourself and others well, and give yourself permission to let your blaze burn. Thank you for listening, sharing, and being part of this journey. Go back and revisit the episodes that have spoken to you, and keep practicing what it means to live fully awake. Episode 64: The Power of Disappointment – Healing the Fear That Keeps You Stuck

Hey friends — it’s Polly Let’s get real for a minute: have you ever been so disappointed that it felt like your whole body just shut down? Whether it’s a dream that didn’t work out, a relationship that fell apart, or a diagnosis that knocked you off your feet — disappointment has a way of sneaking into every part of your body, your thoughts, and your hope. In this episode, we talk about the power of disappointment — how it shapes your beliefs, affects your nervous system, and keeps you stuck in fear and protection mode instead of healing. I share a personal story about facing a huge disappointment in my own health journey, how it almost broke me, and how I found freedom by naming it, grieving it, and choosing hope again. You’ll learn how unprocessed disappointment turns into emotional and physical resistance, why you might be addicted to disappointment (yep, that’s a thing!), and how the dopamine cycle can trick your brain into repeating painful patterns. We’ll dig into how to heal the fear that keeps you stuck, overcome self-sabotage, and reprogram your mind for healing and resilience. Together, we’ll explore powerful tools to reconnect with your body, break old belief loops, and move from fear to freedom. Because disappointment isn’t a dead end — it’s a doorway to deeper healing and a more grounded, hopeful you. 🌿 Ready to think differently about your health? Episode 64: The “Sky Is Falling” Lie - How Your Thoughts Are Training Your Body

This episode is from the Be a Blaze Podcast archives, and I’m bringing it back because the connection between our thoughts, beliefs, stress, and overall well-being is just as relevant today. What if the stress, fear, and overwhelm you feel… isn’t coming from your life—but from the story you’re telling yourself about it? In this episode, I unpack how your beliefs, internal dialogue, and identity are constantly training your body—literally shaping your nervous system, your chemistry, and your health. Using the story of Chicken Little, I walk you through how we often react to life as if “the sky is falling,” when in reality—it might just be an acorn. The problem? When we repeat those fear-based thoughts, we train our body to live in stress, creating patterns of anxiety, burnout, and even disease. But here’s the good news: if your mind can train your body into chaos, it can also rewire it into peace, safety, and healing. This episode is all about awareness, yes—but more importantly, intentional change. Because when you shift your thoughts, you shift your entire life. In this episode, you’ll start wondering: What thoughts am I repeating that my body has started believing as truth? Could my nervous system be reacting to stories… not reality? What would change if I paused and questioned the “sky is falling” moments? If this resonates, take a listen, reflect, and share it with someone who needs this reminder. And if you’re loving the podcast, follow the show and leave a review—it helps more people discover this message. Ready to think differently about your health?
