Be Bold for Jesus

About Be Bold for Jesus

What Does It Mean to Be Bold? A lot of people think boldness is for other people. The people who seem more confident. More qualified. More spiritual. More ready. But that’s not how God works. Throughout the Bible, God calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things. A shepherd boy became a king. A fisherman helped build the Church. A persecutor became a preacher. A carpenter’s son became the Savior of the world. Boldness is not about having no fear. It’s about saying yes to God even when fear is still present. The Be Bold For Jesus Podcast is here to highlight real people living that out every day. From pastors and ministry leaders to business owners and everyday believers, these are conversations that will challenge your faith, strengthen your walk, and remind you that God still uses ordinary people who are willing to obey. Because boldness doesn’t start on a stage. It starts with a yes. Will you say yes?

Chris Spedick, Sun City Youth & YA Pastor | Are small groups important?

Can a sermon change your life, or does real transformation happen when someone knows your name, your story, and is willing to walk alongside you? In this episode of the Be Bold For Jesus Podcast, we sit down with Chris Spedick, Youth Pastor at Sun City Church, to talk about discipleship, youth ministry, and why small groups are one of the most important tools for spiritual growth. Chris shares his journey from working as an electrician and helping launch Sun City Church in 2014 to leading students and young adults today. What started as a desire to simply serve the local church has grown into a deep passion for helping people find authentic community and lasting life change. We dive into Sun City's discipleship model, the role of small groups, and why Chris believes relationships are just as important as great preaching and worship. From middle school students to young adults, we talk about creating environments where people can ask questions, build trust, and grow in their faith alongside others. Chris also shares how young adult leaders are investing in the next generation and why "circles are better than rows" when it comes to discipleship. Throughout the conversation, we explore the biblical model of discipleship, what Jesus demonstrated with His disciples, and how some of the most impactful ministry moments happen around coffee tables, in living rooms, and through faithful relationships built over time. Chris shares powerful stories of marriages being restored, students finding community, and ordinary people becoming leaders who are now helping others walk with Jesus. Whether you're serving in ministry, leading a small group, raising teenagers, or simply wanting to grow deeper in your faith, this episode will encourage you to move beyond attendance and embrace the kind of community that leads to real discipleship. ✝️ Be Bold For Jesus Conference ✝️ https://bebold4jesus.org/be-bold-for-jesus-conference-spokane-2027/ (https://bebold4jesus.org/be-bold-for-jesus-conference-spokane-2027) ✌️ Stay Connected with Be Bold For Jesus ✌️ https://bebold4jesus.org (https://bebold4jesus.org) Instagram: @bebold4jesusministries ⛪ Learn More About Sun City Church & Sun City College ⛪ https://suncitychurch.com (https://suncitychurch.com) Instagram: @suncitywa https://suncity.college/ Instagram: @suncitywa.yaya (http://suncitywa.yaya) 🏠 Sponsors 🏠 https://cogocapital.com (https://cogocapital.com) https://patriotmobile.com/bb4j (https://patriotmobile.com/bb4j) https://thesaviorbrand.com/?ref=bb4j (https://thesaviorbrand.com/?ref=bb4j) 🎥 Chapters 🎥 (0:00) Introduction & Meet Chris Spedick (0:50) Joining the Sun City Church Launch Team (2:20) Finding Faith & Community in High School (3:45) From Construction to Ministry (5:12) Serving Before Being on Staff (6:02) Becoming Youth Pastor (7:16) Youth Ministry & Small Groups Today (10:05) Why Small Groups Come First (11:35) Circles vs Rows (13:01) Preaching vs Discipleship (16:05) Why Relationships Change Lives (18:05) Finding & Training Small Group Leaders (20:12) Leaders Growing With Their Students (23:55) Why Discipleship Matters (24:35) Building a Discipleship Pathway (26:05) Relationships Over Programs (26:28) How Jesus Made Disciples (28:13) Mark 3 and Being With Jesus (30:02) Redefining Family Through Christ (31:31) Why Biblical Community Matters (34:17) A Story of Marriage Restoration (36:04) Disciples Making Disciples (37:14) Friendship, Faith & Community (38:44) Every Believer Is Called to Ministry (40:01) How to Connect with Sun City Church (41:07) Be Bold For Jesus Conference (41:37) Closing Thoughts

Mason Smith, Torchbearers and Goodvue Network | How do you hear God?

In this episode of the Be Bold For Jesus Podcast, we sit down with Mason Smith, evangelist, preacher, and co-host of Torchbearers on the Good Vue Network, to talk about hearing the voice of God, sharing the Gospel, and living a life fully surrendered to Christ. Mason shares his powerful testimony of battling anxiety, depression, addiction, and hopelessness before encountering Jesus in a life-changing way that completely transformed the direction of his life. We dive into the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, why knowing Scripture and being led by the Spirit must go hand in hand, and how Christians can learn to recognize God's voice in a world full of distractions. Mason also shares incredible stories from ministry, including a powerful testimony from Kenya where a simple act of obedience led to healing and freedom in someone's life. Throughout the conversation, we explore evangelism, discipleship, humility, and what it truly means to decrease so that Christ can increase. This episode is packed with biblical wisdom, practical encouragement, and a reminder that God is still speaking to His people today.
