“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Scripture, taught slowly and without rush. Be Still offers full expository sermons that walk carefully through the text, plus shorter midweek episodes to steady your week. Named for the verse my grandmother held close all her life — and offered now as a place to stop, listen, and remember who God is.
In a loud and hurried world, come and be still.
If you're saved by grace and not by works, a fair question comes right behind it: then do works matter at all? Am I just supposed to believe and coast? This message answers it — and the answer sets you free and sends you out at the same time. Everyone quotes Ephesians 2:8-9, "not by works." Almost nobody reads the very next verse — "created for good works." Not saved by them; saved for them. Works are the fruit, not the root — an apple tree doesn't grow apples to become a tree; it's a tree, so apples come. We'll see how real faith shows itself, how the fruit actually grows (by abiding, not gritting your teeth), and how you were saved and sent. It's not "you have to." It's "you get to."

Romans 6:4 - AIT - "Buried and Raised"
Almost everyone lands in one of two ditches on baptism: overloading it (magic water that saves you) or underplaying it (an optional symbol). The New Testament won't let us live in either.
This message walks the road between them — where baptism comes from (Jesus's own command), whether it's required (commanded, yes; the thing that saves you, no), and what it actually means to go down into that water and come back up. We tackle the honest question head-on — if I'm never baptized, am I still saved? — with the thief on the cross, Cornelius, and Abraham. And we land on the beautiful picture at the heart of it: a burial and a resurrection. The old you, buried. A new you, raised. Not magic water. Not a throwaway symbol. The God-given sign of belonging to Jesus.

Romans 10:13 - AIT - "Whoever"
The capstone. For three weeks we cleared away what men bolted onto the gospel — you don't need a priest to be forgiven, you don't pay for it, you won't be re-tried. This week we hand you the gospel itself: how a person is actually saved, in six verses. God so loved the world that He gave His Son (John 3:16). Your part is not a payment or a penance — just believe in your heart, confess with your mouth, and call on His name (Romans 10:9, 10:13; Acts 16:31) — so simple a jailer got it at midnight. And what you become is staggering: a child of God, with God Himself living in you (John 1:12; 1 John 4:15). No priest, no payment, no fear of the verdict — just Jesus. Whoever you are, wherever you've been, the door is open. Come home today.
