What happens when life does not go the way you thought it would? In this week of Red Flags, Pastor James looks at Elijah’s story in 1 Kings 19 and the moment disappointment pushed him to say, “I’m done.” Sometimes our frustration with circumstances, people, or ourselves reveals something deeper: we have been trusting the plan more than we have been trusting God. Through Elijah’s story, we see how God meets us in exhaustion, listens to us in disappointment, and patiently reminds us that His love can still be trusted when His plan does not make sense.

You Crossed My Boundary
Are boundaries supposed to keep people out, or can they actually help us love people better? Pastors Josh and Katie Walters join us for Red Flags to look at Jesus’ example in Mark 1 and what biblical boundaries really look like. Jesus responded with compassion to the needs around Him while staying clear about what the Father had called Him to do. Healthy boundaries help us take responsibility for our own thoughts, emotions, and reactions while releasing what belongs to someone else. The question becomes less “Where do I need a boundary?” and more “What does love require of me in this relationship?

It’s All Your Fault
What happens when every conflict becomes someone else’s fault? In week three of Red Flags, Pastor Robert looks at how blame shifting keeps us from seeing our own part in broken relationships. Romans 12 shows us another way: sober judgment, honest self examination, and transformation rooted in God’s mercy. Because we are secure in Christ’s love, we can face what is true about ourselves without hiding, defending, or being crushed by shame. Real change begins when we are willing to own what is ours.
