Two lifelong Chicago Bears fans, one leading with unwavering hope, one leading with his gut, breaking down every single game the week it happens. Mark and Chris have sat through the bad years together, and now they're riding the good ones together too. No spin, no fake outrage, no fake positivity, just honest reactions, real stats, and a couple of guys who love this team too much to lie to you about it. New episodes after every Bears game. Bears all day everyday.
Mustaches, Sweaters, and a 58-Yarder: Bears Win Ditka’s Night
On the first home game since we lost Coach Ditka, Soldier Field was a sea of fake mustaches and sweaters, and the Bears gave him a night he would have loved. Chicago beat Drake Maye and the New England Patriots 30-24 on Thursday Night Football to move to 5-2.
Mark and Chris break down Caleb Williams’ second straight 300-yard game, big nights from Luther Burden III, Colston Loveland, and D’Andre Swift, and Rome Odunze’s fourth-quarter turnaround, capped by the onside kick recovery that sealed it. Then there’s the call of the year so far. Ben Johnson sent Cairo Santos back out for a 58-yarder right after he doinked one from 53, and Santos drilled a career long that matched the franchise record.
They also get into the tough parts: the Hail Mary-style touchdown the defense gave up to end the first half, Jaylon Johnson’s struggles, Cole Kmet’s knee injury, and an “illegal forward handling” flag Mark has never seen in 45 years of watching football. Plus, is 5-2 good enough in the toughest division in football? And will the Bears win Monday night in Seattle?

Caleb’s Back, Kyler’s Back, Bears Are Back
The Bears bounced back in a big way, beating the Falcons 31-23 in Atlanta to move to 4-2. Caleb Williams returned from his hamstring injury and opened 10 for 10 on the first two drives. He finished 30 of 36 for 305 yards and joined Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson as the only quarterbacks ever to throw 50 touchdowns before their 15th interception. Kyler Gordon came off the PUP list and put up three sacks and two forced fumbles in his first game in nine months, including the strip sack that sealed it.
Mark and Chris break down a game where all three phases showed up, and then the fourth quarter got a little too interesting. They also get into 12 penalties for 133 yards, the Jahdae Walker ejection, and the cheap shots on Caleb. Then it’s the big question: are the Bears real contenders, with the Patriots, Seahawks, and Bucs coming up in three straight primetime games? Plus predictions for Thursday night against New England.

Humbled at Lambeau: Packers 31, Bears 7
Two days after losing Coach Mike Ditka, the Bears walked into Lambeau Field as favorites and came out on the wrong end of a 31-7 beating. Mark and Chris break down the worst performance of the Ben Johnson era since the Lions blowout: five turnovers, a run game Green Bay shut down completely, and a lack of fight that hurt more than the score.
We get into Tyson Bagent’s afternoon and the switch to Case Keenum, how the Packers copied the run blitz that Minnesota used against us, and whether this loss should change our expectations for the season. We also look for the few bright spots, like only three penalties, holding Green Bay to 70 rushing yards, and Zavion Thomas in the return game. Plus, the latest on Caleb Williams’ possible return in Atlanta.
We also take time to remember Coach Ditka: the ‘63 champion, the coach of the ‘85 Bears, and the heart of this franchise. We close with our predictions for Bears at Falcons, with the Patriots coming to Soldier Field four days later.
