[…] What was it like writing about them as opposed to the previous books that you've written? Was it harder? Was it easier, more joyful? What was the process like writing about these guys? It was very easy, really enjoyable. It's probably the most enjoyable book I've ever written. Because, as I say, I've spent decades of my life thinking about the Beatles, listening to the Beatles, playing the Beatles, singing the Beatles. And, you know, literally, I thought about the Beatles probably every day of my life. And yeah, all these ideas, all these thoughts were already inside me. And I felt as though I wanted to pay homage to the Beatles as well, because they were such an important part of my life. […]
