Because of Eli Episode 29-The Gift of Life, Twice Victoria’s Journey as a Living Donor
We are excited to welcome Victoria back to the Because of Eli Podcast, this time joined by her husband, Joe!
Victoria has already donated a kidney to a stranger, and now she is preparing to give the gift of life once again by becoming a living liver donor. Both recipients are strangers, yet Victoria has made the extraordinary decision to give of herself to help others have another chance at life.
Victoria walks us through the process leading up to surgery, sharing her experience and what this second donation journey has been like. Joe joins the conversation to share his perspective as her husband, offering a glimpse into what it is like to stand beside someone making such a life-changing decision.
At Because of Eli, organ and tissue donation holds a special place in our hearts. After losing Eli, we have continued to honor his legacy as a tissue donor by raising awareness, sharing stories, and encouraging conversations about the incredible impact donation can have on others.
Victoria’s story reminds us that sometimes, the greatest gift we can give another person is the opportunity for more time, more memories, and more life.
💚 One decision can change a life. One donor can leave a lasting impact.
Join us as we talk about living donation, the journey leading up to surgery, the impact on loved ones, and the extraordinary gift of giving to someone you may never meet.
Because of Eli, we will continue to share these stories, raise awareness, and celebrate those who give others the gift of life.

Join us as we sit down with John, a combat veteran, and Rev. Jess to talk about their vision for something truly special—a retreat created by veterans, for veterans.
Introducing Ulfhedner Retreat, a nonprofit organization founded by a veteran with a mission to help fellow veterans reconnect with nature, themselves, and each other.
Their vision is to create Viking-themed spiritual and holistic healing retreats specifically for veterans living with PTSD, built around camaraderie, connection, mutual support, and healing.
Sometimes healing begins when we step away from the noise, reconnect with nature, and surround ourselves with people who understand.
We can’t wait for you to hear their story, learn more about their vision, and discover what they hope to create for the veteran community.
