The One Where the Little Things Matter

In this episode, we’re talking about the things we want to intentionally build into our kids’ childhoods. We chat about what Bible time actually looks like with little kids (spoiler: someone may be doing a headstand), finding ways to make frustrating moments fun, and bringing some of our favorite childhood traditions into our own families. We also get into birthday traditions, road trips, tiny gas-station treats, Christmas way too early, making cleaning into a game, and why sometimes a ridiculous robot voice is exactly what everyone needs. Because childhood isn't only built through the big vacations, perfect traditions, or Pinterest-worthy family moments. It's built through a thousand little things we choose to do over and over again. So grab your coffee, embrace the chaos, and come hang out with us as we talk about bringing a little more faith, fun, and intention into the everyday.

The One Where You Go Back to School

Summer is winding down, the pools aren’t quite as exciting anymore, the neighborhood kids are heading back to school, and suddenly everyone is craving a little bit of structure again. In this episode, we’re talking all things back to school from homeschooling and preschool to public school drop-offs, new routines, changing curriculum, and that nagging parent question: Am I actually doing enough? We chat about why we love the flexibility of homeschooling, why different kids sometimes need different approaches, and why there really isn’t one “right” way to do school for every family. Of course, we also somehow end up talking about school germs, nervous poopers, negative-30-degree recess, kids packed into playground tunnels like Bisquick biscuits, and why moms getting everyone dressed, fed, brushed, packed, and out the door before we’re even awake deserve some serious respect. Whether your kids are headed to public school, private school, preschool, homeschool or you’re just trying to figure out what rhythm works for your family we’re heading into a new season right alongside you. Grab a coffee (or some apple cider vinegar tea), embrace the chaos, and come hang out with us as we get ready to hit the ground running.
