Are YOU Training ENOUGH to Carry a Firearm in New Jersey? - Behind Enemy Lines w/ Vlad Vival
Are you training enough to carry a firearm in New Jersey? You may think so, but having your NJ Permit to Carry is only the first step. In this episode of Behind Enemy Lines, Jay Costa sits down with local firearm instructor Vlad Vival (of Threat Reflex and Gun For Hire) to discuss the reality of Every Day Carry (EDC) in New Jersey.
Many think passing the CCARE protocol is enough, but Vlad breaks down why the "minimum standard" can be dangerous in a real-world encounter. We dive deep into the mindset, gear, and advanced drills you need to stay sharp while living behind enemy lines.
In this episode, we cover:
The Mindset needed while Concealed Carrying in NJ
The critical drills every NJ permit holder should practice.
Choosing the right EDC gear for NJ's restrictive environment.
Legal considerations and the "Use of Force" mindset in 2026.
How to find quality training in the Garden State.
