Behind Every Great Man is about marriage, intimacy, desire, identity, faith, motherhood, and the conversations we don’t have enough.
Jessica Zubchevich is an author, meditation teacher, wife, mom, stepmom, and life coach in a former life. I love a good reframe and believe the most powerful place to start is with ourselves.
No husband bashing here. I’m more interested in getting curious about our own patterns, taking responsibility for our part, and looking at our relationships through a different lens.
EP 57: From Good Girl To Wife: The Sexual Journey of a Woman
We all have a sexual story. One that's been shaped by how we were raised, what we were taught, what we experienced, and what we came to believe about ourselves along the way.
In this episode of Behind Every Great Man, I want to have an honest conversation about female sexuality, the messages we've carried for years, and how some of those beliefs may still be holding us back. My hope is that you'll start looking at your own story with a little more curiosity, compassion, and maybe even a new perspective.

EP 56: You Can Reject His Pursuit. You Can't Erase The Desire (w/ Keith)
In this episode, Keith joins me to talk about what rejection can feel like from the other side.
We talk about what happens when one partner keeps reaching and keeps hearing no, how that can slowly turn into self-protection, withdrawal, resentment, or simply giving up on initiating altogether.
We also talk honestly about what can happen when desire does not disappear, but has nowhere healthy to go. Sometimes that can look like fantasy, porn, overwork, validation seeking, flirting, emotional distance, or eventually looking outside the marriage for something that feels missing inside it.
This is not about excusing betrayal or blaming a spouse for someone else’s choices. Compassion is not permission. Understanding is not excusing.
It is about being willing to understand what repeated rejection can do to connection, confidence, and desire inside a marriage.
Because you can reject the pursuit.
You can’t erase the desire.
We also talk about staying connected during seasons when intimacy looks different, what men may be feeling but not saying, and how to hold boundaries without losing compassion.

EP 55: The Truth About Resting: Why Sitting on the Sofa Isn't Enough
Are you actually resting, or are you just sitting down while your mind is running 47 open tabs?
There’s a big difference between stopping and actually feeling rested. I can be on the couch, scrolling my phone, technically doing nothing, and still feel completely mentally exhausted.
In this episode, I’m talking about why so many of us have a hard time fully shutting down, what mental fatigue actually looks like, and what I’m learning about creating real rest in my own life.
We’ll talk about nervous system regulation, emotional reactions, and some simple ways to create more stillness when we need it most.
If you’ve ever thought, “I rested all weekend, so why am I still tired?” this one is for you.
