北大往事—最后的八十年代第二十集 （尾声）
<p>随着黎明的来临，三十多个小时的北大专列之行即将结束，我会怀念这次行程如同我在专列上怀念近十年前的北大岁月。这是一次北大文化的交流，更是一次燕园掌故的荟萃。我们心中的故事从此酿成一杯醇厚的琼浆。<br></p><p>记得1989年那个暑假是大学四年中最长的一个假期，几个月没回学校，竟然一连几天晚上都梦到北大。当时，电台里正在播放小说《穆斯林的葬礼》，我每天准时收听，听的是“一塔湖图”，听的是钟亭、石舫……我曾写下一首长诗寄托我对北大的思念，现抄下结尾亦作为此次行程的结束语吧：<br></p><p>多想你<br></p><p>我的北大<br></p><p>以及你历史书页的辉煌<br></p><p>多想你<br></p><p>我的燕园<br></p><p>以及你销魂的塔影湖光<br></p><p>多少次<br></p><p>寻梦到燕园<br></p><p>多少次<br></p><p>惊梦夜更长<br></p><p>多少日子<br></p><p>多少凝满回忆的时光<br></p><p>（1998年7月完稿）<br></p><span><br></span>

北大往事—最后的八十年代第十九集 拮据（五）
<p>记得干活儿干得最苦的一次是大三的寒假。有个学生头一年高考落榜，他父亲望子成龙心切，要求寒假补课，一天都不能间断，我好说歹说，春节才请了两天假。年前，除夕一早上完课才回家；年后，初三就赶回学校继续教课了。腊月二十九那天晚上，30楼四层一共亮着三盛灯，水房、厕所和410。有个朋友，特意送了我一朵黄玫瑰，让它陪我过年。这么多年过去，我总时时记起寒冷的冬夜30楼410孤灯下的那朵黄玫瑰，那是我收到的鲜花中最温馨的一朵。<br></p><p>大四以后，大家的日子都慢慢有了转机：来请英语老师的人络绎不绝，我们开始拒绝而不再是“被拒绝”了；隔壁的几个女孩儿应某个出版机构之约，集体翻译《斯佳丽》；还有到公司作兼职翻译的；或是自己编了字典准备出版的。待到正式毕业拿到第-一个月工资之前，绝大多数人都已经尝过了“自力更生、艰苦奋斗”的滋味，不见得出于保持革命本色，不少是为了生计。<br></p><p>几年过去了，当“拮据”渐渐从我们生活中淡出的时候，我依然在记忆深处为它留下一方园地。在那段拮据的日子里，我们有怕喝西北风的忧虑，有几张粮票换来的满足，有“顶风作案”的自愧，有自食其力的开怀。那是记忆中一段特殊的旋律。<br></p><span><br></span>

北大往事—最后的八十年代第十八集 拮据（四）
<p>“穷人的孩子早当家”，刚上大二不久，就有许多同学不约而同地想到了自己找点儿活干，不是挣些生活费贴补家用，就是攒点儿寒暑假的活动经费。<br></p><p>那时最适合我们干的活是当家庭教师或作笔译，这样的活干起来灵活机动，可以见缝插针地利用业余时间完成，不会耽误学业。可是让大二的学生去推销自己并把自己“卖”个好价钱并不那么容易。我和小蔡曾一连几个中午骑着自行车到北大周围的居民区贴“提供家教服务”的启事，却应者寥寥。后来有高年级的同学好心地教导我们：“先别写你们是哪个年级的，人家一般信不过低年级学生的水平，等有人来了，大家见了面，再坦白不迟。”我们这样依方抓药，果然成功。第一个来410的家长与其说是看好我们的本事，不如说是为我们的服务态度所动。而我第一次骑着车去人家教课时，还是满脑子的简·爱和玛利亚（《音乐之声》女主人公），只是我并没有碰到罗切斯特先生或是上校。浓妆艳抹的女主人开了门，客气而挑剔地打量着我，旁边站着愣磕磕的学生，我依然习惯地管我的学生家长叫“阿姨”，却没想到自己已然升到了师长之列，本来就是“长辈”了。<br></p>
