Covering topics spanning Harry Dresden’s entire journey from the young wizard private investigator in Storm Front through the future apocalyptic trilogy (whenever that happens).

Women in Urban Fantasy.. my quest for a female Harry Dresden
As a big fan of Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files, I’ve been on a fun journey of discovering a lot of great series in Urban Fantasy, led by some witty, sarcastic, dynamic and otherwise awesome protagonists. But what I hadn’t found yet, was one led by a female main character. So I started a mission to find a female Harry Dresden. The internet told me to start with Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs, October Daye by Seanan McGuire, and Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews. Here’s what I found… Please SUBSCRIBE: https://youtube.com/@belatedbingeJoin Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BelatedBingeSocials:IG: https://www.instagram.com/belatedbingeTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@belatedbingeFree FB Group: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1bZFKLYbkM28Hg8v/

SPOILER WARNING for The Dresden Files.
In this episode I’m exploring Murphy’s character journey a bit, particularly as it relates to how much of an impact Harry had on it. Not just as eventual romantic partners, but how her character changed when they weren’t each other’s ride or die.

‘Dresden Files’ Harry Dresden & Lara Raith Could Actually Work! - BEFORE 12 MONTHS
SPOILER WARNING for The Dresden Files through Battle Ground.
At the end of Battle Ground, Queen Mab rocked all of our brains by imposing an arranged marriage between Harry Dresden and Lara Raith.
Once I got past the shock, I started to think they could actually make a good pairing. That is… if there wasn’t the whole White Court Vampire feeding aspect of it all.
But could there be a way for it to work without long term danger for Harry?
I came up with some ideas!
This was recorded before 12 Months and purposefully left those spoilers out to give fans a little more of a chance to read that book.
