Believing God's Promises

About Believing God's Promises

The Distorted Truth Podcast exists to confront the truth problem in modern Christianity. Too often, Scripture is misinterpreted, taken out of context, or taught without understanding the culture in which it was written, creating distorted beliefs that push people away rather than draw them closer to Christ. This podcast isn’t about comfort, it’s about challenge. The way Christians engage with the Bible must change. Truth needs to be restored through historical context, cultural insight, and careful, disciplined study. The Distorted Truth Podcast is dedicated to dismantling false narratives, correcting theological misunderstandings, and calling believers back to an authentic, uncompromised faith grounded in Scripture as it was originally intended. LETTING GO AND WHAT'S NEXT

Send us Fan Mail In this episode, Carie gets real about what the Lord has been telling her to do: let go. Let go of trying to figure out every next move. Let go of needing to know what comes next. And trust that when God is ready, He will show you the next step. But this isn’t just something God is speaking to Carie. It’s a word for the Church. Sometimes we want the whole plan when God is only asking us to trust Him with the next step. We can get so focused on what we think we need to do that...

DO YOU REALLY NEED A SAVIOR?

Send us Fan Mail We know we need Jesus for salvation, but sometimes we live like everything after salvation depends on us. We try harder, do better, love better, fix things, and measure ourselves against what we think God expects from us. But what if our inability to do it perfectly isn't the problem? What if it's meant to show us that we need Him? In this episode, Carie looks at the law, salvation by grace through faith, our calling to love God and people, and the danger of trying to do God'...

What If What You’re Hearing Sounds True, But Isn’t?

Send us Fan Mail False teaching doesn’t always sound false. Sometimes it starts with something that’s completely true and then subtly distorts it. In this episode of The Distorted Truth Podcast, Carie looks at Jesus’ warning about false messiahs and false prophets in Mark 13 and teaches us how to recognize false teaching, why we need to know the Word of God, and how to measure what we hear against Scripture. Because knowing the truth is the first step to recognizing the distortion. www.bgpmin...
