[…] Honestly, I never even thought about it, but I've always been drawn to different ways of surfing. You know, I mean, we started on the early foam boards in the late fifties. throughout the early 60s and then you know as the surfboards got shorter then that changed the way surfing happened and then windsurfing came along i mean well actually skateboarding came along as part of it too but you know that was when you fell down that hurt yeah but then windsurfing came along that was in there i guess around 1980 or so and we were in maui and that was one of the um great places you know for windsurfing and that was another way to ride waves a really interesting way and so i think you know the pattern in my life has always been to try these different ways of surfing yeah you know there was um all the ones that came after that too the toe and surfing the the stand-up paddle surfing, the kite surfing, wing foiling, you know, all that stuff.
