As I mentioned in the last episode, I grew up loving science fiction. Starships had shields, and the neutral zone in Star Trek was a place Captain Picard entered boldly yet reluctantly. In this episode, I'll talk again about shields and zones—but this time, the ones that protect our own starship, Earth. What are these shields and zones? Find out in this episode of Bereus. A Minute for the Image of God Ryan talks about the new self as discribed in Ephesians 4:24.

How is Our Solar System Fine Tuned?
Growing up in the 70s and 80s, science fiction was everywhere. Movies and shows like Star Wars, Star Blazers, Battlestar Galactica, and Star Trek filled my imagination. In those stories, spaceships often had shields for protection, and in Star Trek there was even the Neutral Zone the heroes had to avoid. While preparing for this episode, I realized Earth has its own kind of shields and zones. What are they? Find out in this episode of Bereus. In a Minute for the image of God Ryan covers Romans 8:29.

How is Our Galaxy Fine Tuned for Life?
"Location, location, location," my mom said to me, quoting the well-known real estate proverb. It was the first time I had ever heard it. As it turns out, that proverb applies perfectly to our solar system in the Milky Way Galaxy when it comes to the conditions necessary for advanced life to exist and thrive. But location isn't the only factor that matters for life to flourish in our galaxy. What else is important? Find out in this episode of Bereus. In A Minute for the Image of God Ryan explores Colossians 1:15.
