In our monthly podcasts we speak with different Jewish women from around the globe - rabbis and cantors, politicians and activists, artists and women in academia. We talk about their activities, their concerns and their achievements, their lives as Jews and their lives as women. With these conversations, we aim to highlight our positions as Jewish women and encourage new strategies for strengthening our roles in society. We thank Vienna Women's Affairs, MA57, for the generous support of our podcasts.

Why did Zionist women decide to found their own organizations? And how did and do these organisations differ from the male dominated Zionist movement? Is there a
specific women’s Zionism? Answers to these questions and many more aspects of the contribution of women to the Zionist movement and particularly to the development of the Land of Israel in the pre-state period can be found in the book “Women’s Zionism Worldwide” (Berghahn Books, 2025) edited by the Israeli historian Mira Katzburg-Yungman. This podcast gives some insights into the many issues discussed in this book.
