A quiet Okinawan high school student falls through a mysterious river and wakes in Valenmere, a dangerous fantasy world of guilds, magic, monsters, and hidden thresholds. There he meets Sara Redmere, the feared young warrior known as the Scarlet Blade, and their bond pulls both of them into a mystery spanning two worlds, secret agencies, ancient veils, and the cost of finding a way home.
Some secrets are kept behind locked doors.
Others are kept behind the people who hold the keys.
Deep inside an unremarkable Okinawa government annex, an ordinary workday is interrupted by an extraordinary alert. Surveillance systems fail, familiar patterns disappear, and the people responsible for watching Riku Hayashi and Sara Redmere suddenly find themselves searching for answers they are not authorized to know.
Across the world, Daichi Hayashi receives news that threatens to tear apart the fragile boundary between his responsibilities as a father and his obligations to P.A.T.H.
Orders arrive.
Clearance is denied.
And a dangerous new variable enters the operation.
As Handler Natsume struggles to regain control, one truth becomes increasingly clear:
The people watching the world are being watched themselves.
And in an organization built on secrets, knowing too much can be just as dangerous as knowing nothing.

Chapter 28 — Still Here
Sara Redmere has survived monsters, bandits, and battles that would have killed ordinary people.
But surviving modern Japan may require something different.
Alone in unfamiliar territory, Sara must navigate a world of roads, machines, schedules, and strangers without the one person who usually helps her understand it. Even the simplest task becomes a challenge when she cannot rely on a familiar face, a working phone, or a clear way home.
The Scarlet Blade knows how to fight.
She knows how to track, hide, and survive.
But finding her way through a world that turns danger into cameras, paperwork, and ordinary-looking cars may prove harder than any forest road.
And somewhere between accepting help and avoiding unwanted attention, Sara must remember a lesson she once taught others:
Survival is not always about winning.
Sometimes it is about knowing when to disappear.

Chapter 27 — Westbridge
Season 2 begins with Riku Hayashi back in Valenmere.
Alone.
The medicine for Liora is with him. Sara is not.
Thrown onto a hillside above a city he does not know, Riku has to do what he failed to do the first time this world took him: stop, watch, think, and survive before panic decides for him.
Below him waits Westbridge — a walled trade city of river gates, caravan yards, outer markets, toll roads, and a guild far larger than anything he knew in Lynth. With no money, no weapon, no Sara, and a medicine pack that could become dangerous if the wrong person understands its value, Riku must find work, cover his tracks, and learn the road east.
But Sara’s bracelet carries more history than he realized.
And in Westbridge, even an old mark of help can become a reason for questions.
