Travel Small, Experience More, Fully Hosted
What does it really mean to travel on a fully hosted small-group tour? This week on Beyond the Boarding Pass, I’m joined by Peter Roddam, founder of YOURTours, to talk about the world of small-group touring, and why travelling with a group of like-minded people can become so much more than simply following an itinerary. Peter has spent years in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry and is a certified International Tour Director, with a career built around people, service and creating memorable travel experiences. We get into what actually happens behind the scenes of a hosted tour, what a tour host does from the moment guests leave home, why YOURTours deliberately keeps groups small, and how those shared experiences can turn strangers into friends. This is fully hosted at it's fullest, guests are picked up from their own homes and returned there at the end of the journey, while the YOURTours host flies internationally with the group, staying with them throughout the adventure. With small groups and a dedicated host, the idea is to create something more personal, with room for flexibility, local experiences, great food, plenty of stories and, of course, a bit of fun along the way. So, is small-group hosted touring the sweet spot between independent travel and a traditional big coach tour? Join us for a conversation with Peter Roddam on Beyond the Boarding Pass to find out.
