In this episode, Autumn Rayne sits down with B5—the brother-led group that helped define the sound of the 2000s—to talk legacy, growth, and what’s next. From the artists who shaped their musical DNA and how the group reflects on their journey from rising stars to seasoned performers with a loyal, multi-generational fanbase.
They open up about the unique dynamic of being family first and bandmates second, and how that bond has influenced both their creative process and business decisions over the years. Bryan, Dustin, and Carnell also share insight into their solo projects—Platonic, Different, and Amethyst—and how stepping outside the group helped them grow as individual artists.
The conversation dives into their place among 2000s boy bands, including who they’d carve into their personal “Mount Rushmore,” and revisits the making of one of their standout hits, “Hydraulics,” featuring Bow Wow—complete with behind-the-scenes memories and whether they knew it would be a hit at the time.
After going on tour with B2K and Bow Wow on the Boys 4 Life Tour, how it was to reconnect after all these years, life on the road, and which classic songs still hit the hardest when performing live. They also break down their latest single “ETA,” the inspiration behind its more mature sound, and what it says about where they—and their fans—are today.
Looking ahead, B5 shares what the “next generation” of the group looks like, teasing new music and hinting at what’s to come as they continue evolving while staying true to the sound and brotherhood that started it all.
