Licha The Butcher ft Ayotunde Adenaike

Oluwaseun Winsala, Obi, and returning guest Ayotunde assess a week of European football, from PSG’s attacking threat against Manchester City to the debate over Arsenal’s level. They also break down Manchester United’s defeat to Atlético Madrid, questioning the team selection, squad depth, and Michael Carrick’s decisions. The panel weighs up PSG’s quality against City’s second-half pressure, highlighting Fabian Ruiz’s influence, Hakimi’s defending, and the importance of taking clear chances. Ayotunde argues that PSG and Barcelona are Europe’s strongest sides on current form, while the panel debates whether Arsenal could match PSG in a one-off game. The group discusses Champions League qualification: eight league-phase matches, automatic qualification for the top eight, and the value of rivals dropping points. The conversation detours into ACL recovery, comparing recovery timelines with Samu’s reported return and the panelists’ own injury experiences. Ayotunde sees United’s performance against Atlético as an improvement, but says the team needs more energy, better pressing, and a stronger striker option. Oluwaseun criticizes Carrick’s lineup and substitutions, arguing Bruno Fernandes should play centrally and questioning the decision to use players out of position. Obi and Ayotunde debate whether United’s problems stem more from the manager or an unbalanced squad, including concerns about defensive pace, player wages, and recruitment. The panel questions Lisandro Martínez’s future and United’s reluctance to move on from players they believe no longer fit the team’s needs.
