Studio Zeitwerk and Anik Malcolm on Making Bitcoin Physical | Movement of Art Ep. 12 w/ Yonat Vaks
In Episode 12 of The Movement of Art, Yonat Vaks is joined by Studio Zeitwerk and conceptual multimedia artist Anik Malcolm for a wide-ranging conversation about making Bitcoin visible and physical. Through distinct but equally meticulous practices, both artists transform abstract ideas such as time, scarcity, data, and Bitcoin’s fixed supply into tangible works shaped by materials, repetition, and patient craftsmanship. They discuss their creative paths, the development of their artistic processes, and the ideas and philosophies that guide their work. The conversation explores proof of work, artistic purpose, constraint, and the importance of creating art that does more than simply depict Bitcoin, revealing how physical objects can give form to the invisible systems and principles beneath it. Sourcing Clay with Bitcoin Artist Antonio Batzu | Movement of Art Ep. 11 w/ Yonat Vaks
Bitcoin artist and ceramicist Antonio Batzu joins Yonat Vaks for a conversation about finding and working with natural clay. He explains where clay tends to appear in the landscape, how to tell when you have found something usable, and what he has learned from gathering material near rivers, lakes, roads, and other places where the deeper layers of soil are exposed.
Antonio also shares how ceramics entered his life almost by accident. Long before it became his work, he was experimenting with clay he found near home and firing small pieces in a household fire. That curiosity eventually led him deeper into traditional ceramics, including ways of shaping, drying, mixing, and firing clay with simple tools and locally found materials.
The conversation moves into the long history behind the craft and the knowledge that once passed quietly from one generation to the next. Antonio talks about learning from older people in Sardinia, including his grandmother, who showed him ceramic traditions connected to bread making. For him, clay carries those traces of human life with it. A fingerprint pressed into wet earth can survive the person who made it by thousands of years.

Bartosz Lewicki (The Great Print) on Bitcoin Art | Bitcoin Art Podcast w/ Asanoha Ep. 7
Asanoha sits down with Bartosz Lewicki, better known as The Great Print, whose detailed Bitcoin artwork is drawn primarily with ballpoint pen. Bartosz talks about growing up between Poland and Germany, leaving art behind for years, and how finding Bitcoin eventually brought him back to drawing.
They get into the way he works, from the long hours behind each piece to his use of black, white and cadmium orange. Bartosz also talks about becoming more comfortable with his own style, why Bitcoin gave him more freedom to make the kind of work he wanted, and where some of the harder themes in his art come from.
The conversation moves into Bitcoin culture, life as an artist, and the strange tradeoff between spending money on your work and buying more Bitcoin. Bartosz gives a look around his studio and shares the piece he is working on now, a large drawing of a ship moving through rough seas during the bear market.
