About Blanchard on Baltimore

Blanchard on Baltimore, hosted by District 11 City Councilman Zac Blanchard, pulls back the curtain on how Baltimore's city government actually works — and where it falls short. Each episode, Blanchard talks with people working across public safety, transit, housing, public health, economic development, and neighborhood leadership to unpack the real problems Baltimoreans face and the solutions being worked on. Skipping the political spin, the show aims to be the kind of grounded, practical look at city government that an engaged resident — with no inside connections — would actually find useful.

Better Buses, Better City: Baltimore’s Transit Future with Brian O’Malley (Central Maryland Transportation Alliance)

Published 29 Oct 2026 · Transcript excerpt

[…] What's your take on the current red line situation? So Central Maryland Transportation Alliance has been supporting the red line since our founding. As we've seen in the spring, the governor and the Maryland Transit Administration that works under him have publicly said, we're going to revisit the decision that it shall be light rail, and we're going to study three alternatives. One is still doing it as light rail. One is still doing it as light rail, but only building a section of it, like a phased approach. […]
