Hi everyone! Welcome toBoblin's Daily Life! Today is May 5th, 2025, Monday. We’re celebrating Lixia, the 7th solar term of the year! Summer is here! The locust trees in Beijing are turning green, and cicadas are starting to sing. Today, Boblin will take you on an adventure to discover the magic of Lixia and teach you some cool traditions!
What is Lixia?
Lixia is the first solar term of summer, just like “Lichun” for spring. It shouts: “Hey, summer is here!” Ancient people said, “Everything grows big now!” Plants soak up sunshine and rain to grow super fast. Look outside—the wheat fields are turning golden, getting ready to become yummy bread!
Fun Traditions!
Let’s play Lixia games!
1️⃣ Egg Battle: Decorate boiled eggs and crash them with friends! The unbroken egg wins! (Psst: Boblin’s egg became “egg pancake” last year…)
2️⃣ Weighing People: Stand on a huge scale! Adults chant: “Scale says 87, live to 91!” for good health.
3️⃣ Five-Color Rice: Cook rice with red, green, and yellow beans—it’s like eating a rainbow! Ancient people believed it keeps you strong in summer.
Nature’s Summer Code
Nature has its own Lixia code:
1st Sign: Frogs Sing: Frogs in the fields start their concerts!
2nd Sign: Earthworms Dance: They wiggle out to help plants grow, like tiny gardeners!
3rd Sign: Melons Grow: Vines climb up, ready to bear fruits!
Lixia Challenge!
Today’s homework: Observe a tree! Find new leaves, listen to cicadas, and draw your summer. Cook five-color rice with your family—Boblin wants to hear your stories next week!
Lixia is a season of growth—just like you, getting smarter and braver every day! See you next time! Eat veggies, drink water, and enjoy summer with Boblin!

用英语讲惊蛰~its time to bloom
Bye～"
[English Version]
Opening:
"Hey kids! Welcome back toBoblin's Daily Life! Today we’re diving into a lively topic—Jingzhe (Awakening of Insects)! Ever wondered why bugs wake up in spring? Join my 5-minute adventure to explore this traditional Chinese solar term!"
 What is Jingzhe?
Around March 5th, when the sun reaches 345 degrees longitude, we welcomeJingzhe—the third spring solar term. Ancient Chinese believed thunder "awakened" hibernating animals: Jing (惊) means thunder startling life, Zhe (蛰) means creatures hiding underground. Imagine nature’s alarm clock for sleepy critters!
Thunder & Farming
Warmer weather brings spring thunderstorms and rain. Farmers start plowing, while earthworms and frogs crawl out. Fun fact: People eat pears to soothe throats and ‘scare away’ coughs this day!
 Meaning & Actions
Jingzhe teaches us: Every life has its time to bloom. Kids, grab your phone and snap photos of sprouting plants or ants in the park!
Closing:
"After listening, go check for thunder outside! If you loveBoblin's Daily Life, hit subscribe and share your discoveries. See you next Friday! Bye~"
