One of the founding pillars of Crop-Tech Consulting is integrating a systems approach to farming. Crop-Tech is continually adding to their expertise and services. To aid in this process, CTC conducts over 150 test plots every year and works in conjunction with Farm Journal to gather research data on the industry’s equipment, practices, and technology. […] And I'm going to assume that's going to be related to nitrogen rates and residual nitrogen showing up later in the season. The yield reports coming in from the areas with the heavy June rain and August rain, as well as wind damage, are not so good. We had predicted yields to be in that 20 to 25 bushel under last year, but we're going to have to widen that out, the 20 to 45 bushel under last year. In the wind-damaged corn, the harvest is slow. Many guys are harvesting one way, A few reports of guys harvesting one way at an angle. Guys are saying they paid for their pickup reels in the first couple hundred acres. […]
