Embracing the Virtual Event. Lessons from Phoebe's Conference: 1/2

"This conference was the first time we’ve ever done it virtually. We had talked about it for a while – and there aren’t many silver linings to this pandemic, particularly in aging services – but it pushed us into the virtual world which is good" -Stacey Prohaska

Phoebe has served the older adult population for over 117 years and provides professional development for their care workers and residents through annual events. Because of the pandemic, Phoebe switched their 2021 annual conference from in-person to virtual and used Conference Tracker to host it. The event featured Dr. Ruth Westheimer as the Keynote Speaker. It also featured 17 other speakers including Robert Torres, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, and Jane Fleishman, a TEDx Talk presenter. All speakers and sessions were streamed live from different locations. In this two-part interview with Stacey Prohaska, Executive Director for the Office of Phoebe Ministries’ Philanthropy Services, we discuss the planning and execution of their successful virtual conference.

Show Notes:

Visit the C3 Podcast website

Discover what Conference Tracker can do for your event

Learn more about Phoebe Ministries

Engineerica has been helping event professionals elevate their on-site, virtual or hybrid events for over 10 years.

Want to hear more?
