Always Becoming: Staying Grounded and Building for What Matters with Corwin Johnson

In this episode, Corwin "CJ" Moneyway Johnson represents a raw, grounded blueprint for building lasting personal and digital platforms through patience, faith, and purposeful action. His evolution from navigating a destructive decade-long battle with casino gambling and working grueling shifts in the steel industry to hosting an internationally acclaimed podcast with nearly 2.5 million downloads across 119 countries proves that transformation requires laying an unshakable foundation. CJ challenges the conventional, transactional approach to digital media—which prioritizes viral spikes and superficial metrics—by embracing a "brick by brick" philosophy. By focusing on relationship intelligence, disciplined organizational systems, and giving voice to the everyday person, CJ demonstrates how honoring your season of preparation and choosing legacy over likes creates enduring, multi-generational impact.

Tell Your Story: From Happy Accidents to Purposeful Media with Walter Gainer II

In the episode, Walter Gainer II represents an inspiring blueprint for turning personal identity challenges into a platform for community advocacy and scalable digital media. Facing societal pressure to cut his locs to appear "professional" when entering the corporate workforce, Walter refused to compromise his authenticity. Instead, he launched Boss Locks as a personal exploration into how professionals navigate natural hair in corporate America. What began as a series of grassroots conversations quickly expanded into a multimedia platform spanning podcasting, video production, and content strategy for B2B brands, cultural icons, and entertainers. Walter’s evolution from accidental podcaster to intentional media strategist demonstrates that true cultural impact occurs when creators stop trying to blend into corporate beige and boldly leverage their authentic perspective to connect with audiences.

All right, let's do it. One question about a common myth you would like to debunk or thing you wish everybody understood about your line of work. My dad was a carpenter, his dad was a mason, and my great -grandfather was a chicken farmer. […]
