Freebirth, Power, and the Loss of the Middle Ground | Call the Millers Ep.14

In this episode of Call the Millers, we share a brief personal update as we head into the Christmas season, including reflections on stepping back from social media and how that choice has been impacting our nervous systems, creativity, and sense of clarity. The heart of this conversation, though, is a thoughtful and honest discussion about freebirth culture and the recent Guardian article examining the Free Birth Society. As women who deeply value birth autonomy, intuition, and the right to informed choice, this is not a conversation rooted in fear or opposition. It is rooted in discernment. We explore how movements that begin as a rejection of harmful systems can sometimes recreate the very power structures they were meant to dismantle, just on the opposite end of the spectrum.
