[…] He continues it into this chapter because Paul, If this attack on the gospel, by means of the addition of religious works, of the keeping of the Ten Commandments, a complete misunderstanding of the Ten Commandments, and the law of Moses. If this was successful in Paul's day, then both then and now, Paul says, it would render the gospel void. It would mean that Jesus died in vain. And it is our responsibility as Christians to share Paul's zeal for the purity of the gospel as he lays it out here. And really to share a righteous indignation against anything that happens in the world whether under the banner of religion or the banner of secularism any kind of outrage an outrage against this kind of thing lest the gospel be absorbed by religions in the world absorbed and become everything else like everything else in the world how is the gospel how is salvation by faith in Christ different from everything else in the world, both secular and religious.
