(10.04.26) Tough Questions | Can we change God's mind? | Steve Edelman
Can we change God’s mind? It’s a question that gets at the heart of prayer, especially when we are desperate for God to do something differently. If God already knows what we need and is in control of all things, then why do we pray? And what actually happens when we pray? This Sunday, we are going to wrestle with one of the toughest questions about prayer. Scripture: Exodus 32:14; Matthew 6:5-15 ESV

(09.27.26) Tough Questions | Is organized religion good or bad? Is church membership biblical? | Steve Edelman
What if the problem with the church isn’t that it is organized, but that we sometimes organize it around the wrong things? We live in a culture that values independence, flexibility, and the freedom to come and go, yet Jesus calls us into something deeper, a people who gather, belong, serve, and care for one another. Why did Jesus create the church as a community instead of leaving Christianity as something private between us and God? And is church membership really biblical, or is it just another human institution we have created? In this message, we’ll explore what the New Testament actually says about the church, organization, and belonging. Because when Jesus says, “I will build my church,” there may be far more at stake than simply showing up on Sunday.Scripture: Matthew 16:18-19, Romans 12:5 ESV

(09.20.26) Tough Questions | Can I lose my spot in heaven? | Steve Edelman
Can you lose your spot in heaven, or once you belong to Jesus, are you truly secure in His hands? The Bible gives us incredible promises about God’s power to save, keep, guard, and complete His work in us, but it also gives us some deeply troubling warnings about turning away from Him. So what do we do with the passages that seem to pull us in opposite directions? In this message, we will wrestle honestly with the difficult passages and discover how assurance, perseverance, obedience, and the grace of Jesus fit together. Come ready to be challenged, encouraged, and reminded that when the warnings come, the invitation is not to run from Jesus, but to run toward Him.Scripture: Philippians 2:12-13; Galatians 5:1-5; 1 Cor. 15:1–5; John 10:27–30 ESV
