On Monday, October 19, 2026, Albertans have the chance to vote in a referendum. There are 10 questions in the referendum to consider and we discuss those questions today. That means we’re talking Alberta Separation, Immigration, and the Canadian Constitution.
Although the referendum question is not binding, we go a little bit more in-depth on the separation question. Do we have to stay forever Canadian in order to respect authority over us? Are we called to leave a country that rejects Biblical morality?
There is a lot to consider in this episode. To read all the questions on the Referendum and get more details, as well as FAQ, go to AlbertaReferendum2026.ca

E17 - Teachers are Oversharing and Parliament is (almost) Open for Business
We’ve all seen stories and pictures of teachers with LGBTQ+ propaganda all over their classrooms as they share their personal lives with their students. Why is this happening? Our theory is that much of the overstepping and oversharing of teachers comes back to SEL (social and emotional learning) being mandated into the curriculum. We get into what that looks like across Canada and how that would affect the way teachers share with their students.
Then, two bills to watch for this fall: Bill C-218 and Bill C-34. We give a (very small) introduction to these bills and share the recommendation that the Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying gave to Parliament in June.

We also share clips and messages from listeners who sent in their advice for mothers. Thanks to everyone who sent in their advice! We hear about giving ourselves grace, finding mom friends, getting through hard seasons, and taking care of ourselves so we can take care of our children.
