What do you see? | Carey Sunday Sermon
In this recording of the 2026 Carey Sunday sermon, Paul Jones, Principal of Carey Baptist College, explores the theme of sight and spiritual maturity through the eyes of three different Israelites in 2 Kings 6.8–23. Together, their stories invite us to ask not simply, ‘What do I see?’ but ‘How is God teaching me to see?’ This sermon encourages us to seek God’s perspective in every situation and to grow into people of maturity, insight and mercy.

Jonathan Robinson: "Say to this Mountain" - What does Jesus really promise us in Mark 11:23
In Mark 11:23 Jesus promises his followers they can move mountains if they have faith in God. But have any of us ever done this? If not, do we lack faith? Or, if it is just hyperbole, what actual help are Jesus’ words in knowing what we can and should pray for? And what has any of this got to do with what is going on with Jesus and the Temple in Mark 11? In this episode, Carey’s New Testament Lecturer, Jonathan Robinson, shares some of his research on how this verse has been interpreted, and presents his own interpretation at the Carey College centenary celebrations.
