6. How CARRYWELL Got Started

In this deeply personal episode, Mallory Wear shares her journey through infertility and how God used her story of grief, longing, and perseverance as the foundation for CARRYWELL. What began as a place of personal heartbreak became a calling—to create a space where others would never have to walk this road alone.

Through her story, you'll hear how God faithfully provided, sustained hope in the waiting, and gently wove together a community of women and couples who now walk alongside one another in both grief and healing. This is a story of faith, resilience, and the beauty of being seen and supported in life's hardest seasons.

CARRYWELL is a Christ-centered nonprofit supporting couples navigating infertility and child loss through community groups, one-on-one connection, and financial assistance for fertility treatments. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, CARRYWELL offers virtual groups so no matter where you are, you can find support. Grants are available regardless of the fertility clinic you use, and you can connect with someone right away through their website.

At its core, CARRYWELL exists to remind you: you are not alone. Whether or not you share the same faith, the heart behind this ministry is simple—no one should have to walk this journey by themselves.

If you're a church leader, counselor, or part of an organization serving couples and families, we would love to connect with you. From hosting groups to utilizing our marriage curriculum or exploring sponsorship opportunities, we're here to partner in meaningful ways.

Wherever you find yourself today, there is a community ready to walk with you.
