Safeguarding

Its safeguarding week on the 21st to the 25th of June and the self advocates at KeyRing wanted to let people know about the work they have been doing to help people with learning difficulties keep safe from abuse. Abuse is a very important topic to be aware of but it can also be difficult to talk about. If you are affected by anything said in the show please speak to someone you trust.

If you or someone you know, is experiencing or is at risk of abuse or neglect, please contact your local authority or ring the emergency services if you or someone you know is in danger. If you live in North Yorkshire the phone number to ring for North Yorkshire County Council is 01609 780780 where you can speak to a specialist advisor and report your concern.
