Seguimos con nuestro peculiar repaso de la edición número 93 de los Óscar. Los Premios más importantes de la industria del cine están a la vuelta de la esquina y nosotras, que nos gusta mucho dejar todo para el final, hemos grabado el segundo de nuestros tres especiales sobre las nominadas a Mejor Película. Esta vez le toca el turno a Mank, Sound of Metal y Minari, tres películas muy dispares entre sí y sobre las que tenemos opiniones también bastante diferentes. Y si con eso no fuera poco, además, hemos invitado a nuestro amigo y cinéfilo Javi Turrión (@javi_turrion) para completar el debate. Qué arte.

CASI CINÉFILAS #9: It's a Sin, morir siendo invisible
Y tú, ¿qué sabes sobre el VIH? ¿Y de la crisis del sida? Nosotras, depende de a quién le preguntes, estamos más o menos enteradas; pero en lo que las tres sí que estamos muy de acuerdo es que antes de la pandemia actual hubo otra tan terrible y tan mortal que por alguna razón a nadie pareció importarle. Bueno, mentira, solo le importó a los afectados, claro. El colectivo LGBT se vio azotado fuertemente por la crisis del sida. Muchas personas perdieron a sus amigos, gente joven en muchos casos, y los gobiernos tardaron años en hacer algo. Miles de personas murieron siendo completamente invisibles, pero nosotras no estamos dispuestas a que la historia se olvide. Por eso, en este episodio hemos decidido comentar una de las series del momento: It’s a Sin, que relata desde el punto de vista de un grupo de amigos en la Londres de los 80 cómo está crisis sacudió de arriba a abajo las vidas de tantas personas del colectivo.
