Have you seen the video Choosiin’ Texas by Ella Langley released April 1, 2026? Let's talk about the visual side of this track for a second. When you watch the official video for 'Choosin' Texas,' it doesn't play like a regular music video—it feels like a cinematic western short film. it completely pulls you into the story. It’s rare to see a music video take that kind of narrative approach and nail it so well. Now when I listen to the song, I know more what the song is about visually.
Ella Langley’s single "Choosin' Texas" was officially released on October 17, 2025, and it didn't just become a hit—it turned into a historic, record-breaking global phenomenon. The song serves as the lead single from her second studio album, Dandelion (released in 2026). Co-written with country superstar Miranda Lambert, it has completely dominated the mainstream music landscape.
Chart Dominance & Record-Breaking Success
18 Weeks at No. 1: On the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, "Choosin' Texas" has logged an astounding 18 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1. It currently stands as the fourth-longest-running No. 1 single in Billboard history.
Longest-Leading Solo Female Hit: By staying at the top for so long, Langley broke the record for the longest-running non-holiday No. 1 song by a female artist on the Hot 100. She surpassed legendary chart runs by Mariah Carey ("We Belong Together") and Whitney Houston ("I Will Always Love You").
