Being vulnerable isn't a weakness...

Emotions and vulnerably have always been uncomfortable for me but sharing bits and part of my story over the years has changed my life and has created community. Sometimes we hold back from sharing parts of us for many reasons. We are nervous, we are scared of judgements and the reality is at times other people are part of our story and we have to respect other peoples privacy. I can relate to all of these reasons actually, and over the years I have learned and practiced my storytelling to always come from a place of love, a place of growth and my own perspective on what I have been through.

A huge part of this process is intention, when your intentions are to inspire, to grow and to connect, we share our story from a different place. Take my reel for example on me being a control freak, that came from a place of being a single mom at a really young age. I never spoke about what exactly happened during that time that forced me to take control, I don’t feel comfortable going into specifics, but that wasn’t the point of my post. My point was that the environment that I was in at that time, turned me into someone who always had to control her life, her environment and her future and the truth is, we can’t always be in control and as I got older it was harder and harder to hold onto control. So letting go, learning to surrender, learning to pray, has led me to a more peaceful approach to life and whatever comes my way. I feel more open to opportunities. I never once threw anyone under the bus, I didn’t rehash anything from past, I didn’t go into details and I feel that this approach, makes it less about the drama and more about the growth and connection with my audience. So this is just one example and if you need help figuring this out and navigating your own storytelling, then I would love to jump on a call with you! Let’s figure out the best way to share your story!

If you are ready to jump on that call, schedule below!

Talk to you soon!

Caya

This is a public episode. I stormed out of my job....

Back in January of 2023, I went back into the workforce. I was struggling in my business and although I was being patient, my bills were NOT.

So through a friend, I found a job close to home with decent hours and pay. I immediately started noticing red flags from management and it ended up in my manager cornering me and accusing me of “money” stuff that I couldn’t even comprehend.

In this episode I want to share the behind the scenes of me being “booked and busy”. Often times on social media we only see the fun, pretty, successful side of life and being an entrepreneur but I want to share a very real moment where I struggled and doubted myself and my business.

If you’re in a season of waiting, or ready to throw in the towel on your business or your podcast, you are not alone. I’ve been there. I also want to share why you shouldn’t settle and why you should bet on yourself. Stop putting your worth in other peoples hands. It doesn’t belong there.

If you are ready to jump start your podcast, or maybe even re launch, or grow it, I want to invite you to jump on a call with me. Let’s take your story and make impact!

This is a public episode. Take Your Podcast Seriously and Watch Where It Takes You!

Back in 2019 I launched a podcast and what I thought would be a passion project, changed my entire life. When I look back on the memories of that podcast and what I accomplished, it brings tears of joy to my eyes because I am so grateful for that journey.

Sometimes we don’t realize all that we’ve done and accomplished until we stop and take a moment. I had a moment of frustration today and I said to my friend “I am ready to give it all up” but God was quick to remind me of everything that is blooming for me, from all those seeds I’ve been planting along the way.

Take your podcast seriously, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, it just means be consistent, look for opportunities, put yourself out there. You have no idea where you can end up in 5 years or even a year….if you just started to commit yourself to your content on and off the mic. If you are ready to make that commitment to yourself then I invite you to join my Live training bootcamp! Starting April 9&10! Comment on this post BOOTCAMP and I will take care of the rest!

See you inside!

caya

This is a public episode.
