   Episode 24: All roads lead to Sparks Ft. Robert Dayton

   I don't know, maybe, like, do normal, like, like, I can't help it, like, I like drawing connections, I'm fascinated by that, and, and hopefully it isn’t all just one big, like, name drop pile, and hopefully it’s just more about interesting you know. One of my favourite name drops today was Justin, i was able to bring Justin Bieber into the conversation. I hope Justin Bieber listens to Hank and goes to the Yeti and Pepi's Pizza as well. That food and that music will blow your mind. Kitchener, Ontario. And Ann's husband, John, called me on it recently, because I was going, wait, what's the context here? And I'm like, yeah, I guess… do people's brains just… maybe… do people's brains actually mostly have, like, Like, do people's brains have a thing where… do normal… like, other people’s human brains have a thing where they can actually, like, filter and make it, like…less, like, da-da-da-da-da-da-da? Is that what it is? Do people do what, like… And, and, you know, I love drawing these multi-disciplinary, multi-media connections, as it's obvious, I'm  sure that they're connecting for me up here, but I want to make sure they're connecting for me for all of you. You know, video, video. If it wasn't for Moses Znaimer, and Marshall McLuhan, there'd be no videodrome. I've had to work on gaining awareness. I'm doing what it takes to survive, and you know, and some things I don't want to talk about but, come on, you know, At first, I was, like, a few months ago, I was going, I'm gaining self-awareness. I went, yeah,  but that's still self,  so let's get out of that…. gained some awareness, awareness of… so the people that are around you are… make sure that they’re okay.    Episode 23: Store Time

   Store Time It’s just like burden, comma burden, comma burden. It’s sending me to bed so it’s good. I don’t understand what we, like, what happened. What, like what happened in the world. I think all of those facets are present. You know? Sure. But why lean into the worst of all of them. Like, I’m like shit, Dude, like I really really like uneven people. So how does that happen? You call You say, “Hey you wanna be a Part of this?” But, you just missed that phone call. All the people who were trying to seriously look into it Just got their funding cut because of this, like you know, I… I don’t know how to qualify But it’s like, it’s just like screamingly loud, And everything’s louder than everything else. And it kinda, it was a perfect, We all just descended, like, Into the madness. It’s pretty astoundingly weird timing, And it means freedom, but also will and liberty. And when you have the enormous hegemon, next door to you and the enormous hegemon is trying to crush you it brings such a resilient joy to the heart, even though it means total shit, to face. The clarity of the injustice is just like Fuck you. Like it’s so obvious. They just came They hung out there, and they sang And then they danced and danced. And they danced. And left. Just the spontaneous eruption of something so crystallized. Yeah, It’s it’s it’s joy In the face of hell. Like, It’s the most important thing The hegemony of vision over the world, Over the sensing world is, you know, when you dislodge it, like yeah yeah, a completely new world opens up. A hymn to all the freedom struggles out there. The song Is a powerful instrument. A headline filled with possibility, Joy, I would say, because I understand everything through pulse Read a room, read a situation, read a, like existence. This is part of the living book. The part about being persecuted and surviving through faith And love. Always A threat to any country lived in. God is too big to be symbolized, God is too present to be symbolized, and God is infinite inside of each one of us. So we need Bread. Salt. Water. That’s all it takes to invite someone in. It just goes in and turns the faucet on. But this is it. We live in a society that relies on the written word. I mean Yeah, if you can just fall back on books to tell you what you are thinking… Imagine singing with 40 people from your community every day. Fuck we have no social. You can imagine this whole idea of boats in the ocean In the sea in the fog and not sure if they are going to reach land With all these foghorns. It’s what you’re left with after that, we’re just boats drifting in the fog, it’s pretty existentially real. It’s just this kind of fever dream of survival. It’s just so… ahh.. it’s just, just, such a, a beautiful mess, and it’s just like a mirror and, and it just kinda, its refractions are insane, and none of it is working It would always be breaking and we’d just be like improvising with whatever was left.    EPISODE 22: The quality of the handclaps w/ James Schidlowsky

   From James: Basically, it's a 6-channel system. When Eric played, he sometimes had 6 different things going, several, some stereo, sent to different channels. When Hélène Prévost played, she only deals in mono, so I duplicated the sound onto every channel. She sometimes had several sound sources playing, but because every speaker is different, and continually randomly switching, and imparts its own color/timbre, it was as if she was spatializing each sound separately. A really cool illusion. I had the pleasure of sitting right next to her (and Eric), in the center of the space, while they practised/explored the system for a couple of hours. We listened to: 1.
